***Sunday School Begins Sunday, September 9th***

St. Paul’s Sunday School Program is based on a rotational model.  Each month the same lesson/story is taught in 4 different venues, classes rotate each Sunday to a new venue:  movies (Holy Word Theater), crafts (Creation Station), Bible story (Sunday Morning LIVE) and games (Bible Quest)… occasionally we toss in a science and/or cooking rotation.

We have found this method of message reinforcement not only effective, but a lot of fun for the kids…keeping it interesting and teaching in multiple learning styles.

We group by age/grade and work with children from age 3 thru Middle School.

Children are encouraged to join their families for the start of late service.  Following the opening and a couple songs, they attend the Children’s Sermon, then are dismissed to Sunday School.  Service starts at 10:00 and both end around 11:00.

Our 2018-2019 Lesson Plan is:

SEP:   The Lord’s Prayer
OCT:   Abraham
NOV:  Joshua & Jericho
DEC:  Jesus’ Birth
JAN:   Epiphany
FEB:   Adam & Eve
MAR:  Samson & Delilah
APR:   Gethsemane
MAY:  Woman at the Well

We LOVE having visitors and parents are welcome to hang out with us anytime!

VOLUNTEER TEACHERS are often needed!!  I will supply you with a complete lesson plan and have everything ready for you!  You are welcome to ‘make it your own’ or stick with the plan.  Ideally, volunteers will sign up for a full month and teach the same plan each Sunday to a different age group (some alterations to make the lesson age appropriate), so it’s SUPER easy!!  If you can’t commit to a full month, I’d love your help for one, two or three Sundays whenever your availability allows!  We have a sign-up in the Narthex or you can contact me with any questions/concerns or to become more involved:  heidi.wood@chutes.com or cell/text:  301-440-2723.

Training… I am happy to meet with anyone interested in teaching, but wanting a bit more information and training first.  Please reach out to me and we’ll set something up:  heidi.wood@chutes.com or 301-440-2723.
